How it works

Detect electrical faults before failure occurs

Marlinks’ electrical fault detection module uses Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) and fiber optic technology to monitor electrical signals and detect anomalies. Integrated into our subsea cable monitoring platform, this system provides early warnings and precise fault location, enabling faster response and repair.

Our system is designed to work across both AC and DC offshore transmission networks and can be combined with other Marlinks monitoring modules for complete cable health insights. 

All monitoring data is visualised in the Marlinks dashboard, giving operators a clear, real-time overview of cable behaviour across the entire route. This enables faster decision-making, smarter interventions, and full integration with other monitoring modules.
