2017

Marlinks was launched.

Marlinks was started in Leuven, Belgium. Parent company Fluves & developer Parkwind were the first investors.

First version of the dashboard & first key costumers.

Our cable health monitoring technology, reached a significant milestone with the release of our first version of the dashboard. This allowed our customers to easily access and interpret the data we were collecting, giving them the power to make informed decisions about their subsea cable maintenance and operations.

With the release of our dashboard, we also gained our first key customers who recognized the value of our technology in ensuring the health and longevity of their submarine power cables. This was a major step forward for us as a company, and we were excited to see the impact our technology was having on the industry.

Validation campaign with the Belgian Goverment as an alternative to surveys.

we successfully conducted a validation campaign with the Belgian government to showcase our technology as a viable alternative to traditional surveys. This recognition helped to establish us as a trusted partner in the offshore industry, and paved the way for future collaborations and growth.

Scaling up our team and expansion to the UK.

We reached a pivotal moment in our journey, as we made the decision to scale up our team and expand our operations to the UK. This move allowed us to tap into new markets and bring our innovative solutions to a wider audience, while also strengthening our position as a leader in submarine cable monitoring.

With a clear focus on growth, we quickly established a presence in the UK market and began forging new partnerships with key players in the industry. Our team of experts worked tirelessly to adapt to the unique needs and challenges of this new market, while staying true to the core values of Marlinks.

First partnerships with cable manufactures & Investment Virya Energy.

We are pleased that we have established our first partnerships with cable manufacturers, a significant accomplishment in our efforts to strengthen our supply chain.

Additionally, we have received an investment from Virya Energy, a leading player in the renewable energy sector, which will enable us to accelerate our growth and bring our innovative solutions to even more clients. With these developments, we are well positioned to continue take the next steps in our Marlinks journey.

Expansion to East Asia, new office in Belgium & Blue Innovation Award

We are thrilled with our expansion to East Asia, marking another exciting chapter in our journey. As we continue to grow and expand, we have also moved to a new office in Ghent, Belgium.

We are also very proud to have received the prestigious Blue Innovation Award, a testament to our dedication to sustainability and innovation in the industry.

First projects in the USA & East Asia with many more to come.

In pursuit of expanding our reach and impact, we took our first steps towards the USA and East Asia for our first projects. This proved to be an exciting opportunity for us to showcase our expertise and to learn from new challenges.
