TTM with FBGs involves embedding FBG-sensor lines onto the termination connectors, allowing real-time monitoring of temperature changes. By continuously measuring temperature variations, operators can gather valuable data about the connectors’ operational conditions.

At Marlinks we believe designing a cable condition monitoring systems for the offshore wind industry always needs to be tailored to the specifics of a client and to the needs of the offshore project.

The project idea originated from the understanding that it is crucial to have the knowledge and tools to detect and mitigate failures in cables and foundations of offshore wind farms as this is the key to large cost reductions and to economically viable wind production as an energy source.
